With football season just around the corner we’ve been hoping to open some 2020 Score. Unfortunately, we’ve not come across any in the wild yet. We were able to score a blaster box of 2020 Panini Contenders Draft Picks to open.

The base set is 100 cards and features past, present and this year’s draft class in their college uniforms. There are tons of inserts, variations and autographs to pull in this product. Each blaster box has 7 packs, with 6 cards per pack. You’re also going to find two autographed cards per blaster box on average. A blaster box will cost you $19.99.

Here’s what we pulled in our blaster box. Please note that all cards are the Season Ticket Variety unless otherwise specified.

Grade: D

Getting a 6th Round Defensive Tackle (Robert Windsor) and an undrafted Safety who has yet to be signed to a team (David Dowell) is pretty disappointing for your two autographs. Also disappointing is the lack of Draft Prospects we pulled. We ended up getting a majority of current stars and legends, with these year’s draftees falling one or two per pack.

The Cooper Kupp Galactic Foil is a nice bonus and by far the best card from the box. It’s not really known how scare they are as they are not mentioned on the checklist or on any other source. Lots of listings on eBay mention them as SSP, but you have to take that with a grain of salt until there is some type of clarification from Panini.

I don’t think I would really consider trying my hand at another one of these. I would actually prefer to try a 2020 Leaf blaster box and actually be able to pull more of this year’s rookie class.
