The latest 2019-20 NBA product to hit the retail shelfs is Panini Mosaic.
As with all of this year’s products, the checklist is buoyed by an impressive rookie class. Zion Williamson and Ja Morant lead the most chased cards in the set.
It is also possible that this is the last product we get from Panini for a little while due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Both factors have pushed the secondary market for cellos to over $35 a pack. Hangers and Mega Boxes have also more than doubled in price.
Here’s what we pulled from our cello pack:
Pack 1:

Admiral Schofield Mosaic Green, Paul George Got Game?, De’Andre Hunter NBA Debut Rookie Card, Austin Rivers, Taurean Prince, Mason Plumlee.
Pack 2:

Jaren Jackson Jr Prizm, Dylan Windler Rookie Card, Pascal Siakam, Markelle Fultz, Tomas Satoransky, Tobias Harris.
Bonus Pink Camo Prizm Pack:

Darius Bailey, Devin Booker, Pascal Siakam.
Verdict: C+
First things first, these cards are absolutely beautiful. This is probably our favorite design for this year’s basketball cards. The cello exclusive Pink Camo Prizm look amazing when you look at them in high light.
Getting two other Prizm cards was a nice bonus too. However, the player selection we pulled left a little to be desired. If you can get them at retail price ripping these packs is a no brainer. The upside is super high and once again they are amazing to look at. With the price of these packs on the secondary market, I’d be a disappointed in this pack. You could put that $35 and get the rookies you collect, probably even in a nice color Prizm (excluding the biggest name rookies).
We’ll definitely try another cello pack of these for Retail Therapy in the future to see if we can do a little better.
