Jeff Gordon – The Rainbow Warrior

Sport Cards Daily would like to wish a Happy 49th Birthday to the one and only Jeff Gordon. Gordon is one of the most well known and loved racers in the history of NASCAR. He’s also one of the best drivers of All-time ranking third in Wins overall (93) and first in the modern era (1972 to the present).

Gordon gained almost instant celebrity status in the sport and was a fan favorite due to his brightly colored rainbow paint schemes in his DuPont #24 Car. This led to his famous nickname “The Rainbow Warrior.”

After his racing career ended, he has transitioned into the broadcast booth, becoming Fox’s Lead Analyst for their coverage of NASCAR. He signed a multiyear contract extension that will keep him involved with the race day experience for the foreseeable future.

The card pictured is Jeff Gordon’s first card that was available in packs. It’s a 1991 Traks and can be picked up on eBay for as low as $10. His first appearance on a card came in the 1987 World of Outlaws set and can be found as low as $30 on eBay.
