It was nice to find some cards on the shelf. There were at least 10 boxes of 2020 Panini Contenders blasters and we picked up two to have something to rip.
While Panini Baseball’s major league products are never my favorite due to the lack of MLB licensing, this product is the first non-complete Topps set we’ve seen in awhile.
The blaster boxes have 6 packs with 5 cards each. The packs each have 1 green foil card and each box features an autograph (on average).
Here’s what we pulled from our boxes.

This were two of the most disappointing retail blasters I’ve ever opened. I now understand why there were multiple boxes on the shelf. The card design is lackluster and the lack of licensing and team logos with the extremely large “ticket side” that takes up close to two-thirds of the front just look amateur.
Even worse than the look of the cards, was having my guaranteed autograph from each box actually being 150 Panini Rewards points. If you’re unfamiliar with Panini Points you can use them to purchase cards and packs on their Rewards site. However, 150 points is usually a very low-level autographed card or relic. There is also the negative of having to pay shipping and handling on the card you redeemed your points for, so it costs you even more.
I would highly recommend not purchasing these in box or pack form. If you have a player you are looking to collect just buy what you want on eBay.
