Ribant had a 6-year major league career that he spent with the New York Mets, Pittsburgh Pirates, Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox, St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds. His most memorable times in the big leagues came when he was a Met. He was the 1st Mets pitcher to ever have a winning record in a season when he went 11-9 in 1966. He finished his career with a 3.87 ERA in 518 and 2/3 innings.
