Our pre-order from Fanatics finally arrived (5/12) and we got our first chance to rip the new 2024 Bowman. This year’s design is a step up, in our humble opinion, and provides a nice canvas for the crop of 1st Bowman Players. The cost per box was $29.99 direct.
The checklist is highlighted by 1st Bowman cards of #2 Overall Pick Dylan Crews, Walker Jenkins, Arjun Nimmala, Adian Miller, Yohandy Morales, and George Lombard Jr.. It also features Rookie Cards of Dodgers Ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
This year’s product also features the debut of the new Bowman chase hit, 1955 style Anime cards. These have been extremely popular in the first week of the release.

REVIEW: C-
There’s been a lot of debate on Twitter/X this year and whether a case of blasters actually provides more color and autographs than an equivalent Hobby or Jumbo boxes. Bowman blasters can be hit or miss and this was definitely a miss. This single blaster did not deliver a ton of value, but it was still a fun rip. We also pulled some Bowman paper that will be great for some TTM (Through The Mail) or in-person autographing. We did like the designs on inserts this year led by the prospect Power-ups pinball style and the Bowman AI.
With the increased prices we now see on blasters ($29.99 versus $19.99 pre-pandemic) you really need to pull a nice color Chrome parallel or autograph to make back the purchase price. The only reason the grade wasn’t lower is that the base paper cards do have some additional value for an autograph collector.
